The Sheltair Group is an interdisciplinary team of urban planning and resource management professionals. The company is located in Vancouver, BC, and has been servicing our clients for over 23 years.

Sheltair’s mission is to help our clients define and achieve their goals for sustainability. Several of Sheltair’s landmark projects have gained distinction across North America, including the development of environmentally sustainable development guidelines for Southeast False Creek, a model sustainable community being developed in the heart of Vancouver. Most recently, the company spearheaded the international award wining cities PLUS project - a two-year long-term sustainable planning initiative focusing on Greater Vancouver.

Sheltair is a leading consulting firm in using indicators to model community performance, from the neighbourhood level to the regional scale. We conduct housing, land use, energy consumption, greenhouse gas emission, and water consumption indicator calculations. We also use GIS tools to help municipalities define alternative land use scenarios and then evaluate them using InfraCycle and through indicator calculations. By estimating the environmental and fiscal impacts of alternative land use scenarios before a land use decision is made, we help our clients make informed planning choices.
